Description
of community agency/organization:
We are a non-profit community organization whose purpose is
to promote and encourage folk music in the Brampton area. The Friday Folk Night Concert Series presents professional performers in an intimate coffee-house style setting on the 4th Friday of each month.
Position Title:
Friday Folk Night Volunteers
What you will do:
Assist in setting up chairs and tables, selling tickets at the door, serving food and drinks, cleanup afterward
Skills required:
Volunteers must be responsible, reliable, punctual, polite. Experience handling cash is helpful. Heavy lifting is not required.
Skills you will learn:
-teamwork, working with others
-customer service/working with the public
-basic food service skills
Length of time required:
5:30 pm - 10:30 pm, one Friday per month. Choose 1 or more concerts to volunteer at
