Description
of community agency/organization:
The Brampton Safe City Association provides a network for Brampton residents, businesses, community groups, public agencies and the Peel Regional Police to unite in a common goal, to make Brampton the safest city in Canada.
Position Title:
Y.E.S. Team Member (Youth Education and Safety)
What you will do:
* Attend training sessions on safety, crime prevention and healthy living issues.
* Organize your own youth event or activity.
* Promote safety and crime prevention in the community.
Skills required:
* Good people skills
* Ability to work in a team
* Organization and planning skills
Skills you will learn:
* Project Planning skills
* Leadership skills
* How to educate others about safety issues
Length of time required:
40 - 50 hours
