Long Term Care Facility
Position Title:

What you will do:
There are a variety of positions available, such as friendly
visiting, dining room helper, activity helper, etc
Skills required:
Student must be over the age of 15 and must be friendly and
outgoing. Experience working with the elderly would be considered an asset.
Skills you will learn:
You will have the opportunity to take part in all
training seminars offered to staff. By volunteering at Peel Manor, you will
have the opportunity to observe all aspects involved in the long term care
health field.
Length of time required:
3 months or 40 hours committment

How to get involved/How to apply:
Call Suzanne @ 905 453-4140 x3734 or email at ferris@peelregion.ca . All new volunteers will need to attend a 1hr
orientation session in which all volunteer roles will be explained and you
will be taken on a tour of the facility. Please note, if you are over the
age of 18, you will be required to provide a criminal record check.
