of community agency/organization:
FEC provides parenting information and support to parents in the Region of Peel and surrounding area. We do so by offering courses and workshops on a variety of parenting issues.
Position Title:
Special Event Volunteer
What you will do:
Periodically throughout the year we offer special events. We hold a Festival of the Family every September, a Theatre Night in October or November, a Valentines Dance in February and a Parenting Conference in April. There are a variety of positions available for every event. You can be part of the planning committees or just help out the day of the event
Skills required:
Friendly, outgoing individuals who are comfortable working with the public
Skills you will learn:
Depending on the position you hold you may learn what is involved in planning a special event, assist with child care and learn how to work with children etc.
Length of time required:
Depends on event and position.
Variety of locations throughout Peel Region.
